A shop-window LED wall for Farmacia Mondello Valdesi
A 3 mm pitch LED wall installed inside the shop window facing Mondello beach, to announce promotions and themed days to passers-by.
Modular LED surfaces for indoors, shop windows and outdoors, sized around the available space and the distance they will be seen from.

A standard screen has a fixed size and a brightness designed for indoors. A wall or a shop window has its own size, its own light and a distance it will be seen from: it needs a surface that adapts to it, not the other way round.
A LED wall is not picked from a price list: it is sized around the space. There are three questions: how big the wall or the window is, how far away people will look at it from, and how much light surrounds it.
The pitch is the distance between one LED and the next, in millimetres. The closer the audience, the finer the pitch has to be, or up close you see the individual dots. As a rough guide, the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is close to the pitch in millimetres. For the shop window of Farmacia Mondello Valdesi, seen from the pavement, we chose a 3 mm pitch.
Indoors, colour rendering at short distance matters most. In a shop window the screen works behind glass with daylight in front of it. Outdoors it has to stay readable in full sun and withstand the weather. They are three different choices, not the same product with the brightness turned up.
Brightness, colour rendering and real size cannot be judged from a data sheet. In our Palermo showroom, in Piazza Diodoro Siculo, the screens are switched on: you can judge them in person before choosing.
We study the space, the light and the viewing distances; we define technology, size and positioning; we handle mounting, configuration and testing; we produce and schedule the content; and we look after the system over time, stepping in when needed.
A LED wall is made of modules: the surface is sized to the wall or the window, not to a fixed format.
For shop windows and outdoors, brightness is chosen to stay readable in direct light or behind glass.
The LED pitch depends on where the audience will be: close up you need a fine pitch, from further away a wider one.
Promotions, opening hours and campaigns are updated remotely, with nothing to reprint.

A display has a fixed diagonal: you choose from the available sizes. A LED wall is modular, so the surface is sized to the space rather than to a catalogue, and can take proportions no single panel offers.
The practical criterion is viewing distance. Close up you need a finer pixel pitch; from further away a wider pitch is enough and costs less. Below a certain surface area, a display remains the simpler choice.
Yes, but not the same screens. Outdoor totems are IP65 rated against rain and dust, have a vandal-resistant structure and 3000 nits of brightness, which is what it takes to stay readable in full sun.
An indoor screen put out on the street survives neither the light nor the weather: that is the difference between an installation that lasts and one that fails in its first season.
It depends on three things, all measured on site: how much light there is, from what distance the screen will be viewed, and how much room is available.
These are the three questions every project starts from. A screen that works perfectly in a waiting room can be unreadable in a sunlit shop window, and a surface sized to be seen from ten metres makes no sense above a counter.
Yes. The Palermo showroom is open to the public and has screens running: the brightness and rendering of a surface are judged by looking at them, not by reading a spec sheet.
