Frequently asked questions
How do you choose the right technology for a space?
It depends on three things, all measured on site: how much light there is, from what distance the screen will be viewed, and how much room is available.
These are the three questions every project starts from. A screen that works perfectly in a waiting room can be unreadable in a sunlit shop window, and a surface sized to be seen from ten metres makes no sense above a counter.
What is the difference between a professional display and a television?
A domestic television is designed for a few hours a day. Professional displays are rated for continuous operation, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Brightness is also far higher, and so is control: content updates remotely and can be scheduled by time slot, which a television cannot do.
LED wall or large-format display?
A display has a fixed diagonal: you choose from the available sizes. A LED wall is modular, so the surface is sized to the space rather than to a catalogue, and can take proportions no single panel offers.
The practical criterion is viewing distance. Close up you need a finer pixel pitch; from further away a wider pitch is enough and costs less. Below a certain surface area, a display remains the simpler choice.
